Built from prized native New Zealand Kauri timber, Verandahs two colonial style villas have been lovingly restored to surpass their original grandeur.
Whether you're spending time alone in our comfortable rooms or mixing with fellow travellers in our elegant lounge's, spacious garden or on our picturesque verandahs, you'll enjoy style, serenity and space in the heart of the city.
Your Hosts
Verandahs is a family business, owned by three Kiwi brothers and their families. They have all travelled extensively and each brings unique skills and experiences to the partnership to ensure its success.
All Verandahs staff are friendly and approachable and at your service to ensure you enjoy all aspects of your stay.
We can provide the low-down on the city's attractions and surroundings, helping you get the most out of your stay in Auckland.
The backpackers is managed by Campbell, one of the brothers.
Our Beliefs
Environmentally friendly living is healthy living - we seek to minimise our ecological footprint through enviromentally friendly practices.
We use, among other things, filtered water, solar hot water, eco-friendly woollen insulation, energy efficient and sensor lighting. We recycle paper, glass and plastics and arrange for the safe disposal of used batteries.
Additionally during the restoration of our villas, we have used recycled timber, doors, windows, stainless steel benches and any other recycled material wherever possible.
